The new poster was released today, one day before a new trailer is supposed to come out for the film. It shows Glinda (Ariana Grande) standing on the ground under a pink cherry blossom tree, reaching her hand up to try to touch the hand of Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), who is flying on her broomstick in front of a green sky.
As half the logo is pink and half is green, the poster reads "everyone deserves a chance to fly," a famous lyric from the musical.

The new poster comes one day after a new behind-the-scenes featurette about the film, where the stars and director John M. Chu talk about their feelings about the play and how they've been obsessed with it for their entire lives.
The two-and-a-half minute video shows the moments when Grande and Erivo were told that they had gotten their parts.
"The world needs to see more of you, and we would love for you to be our Elphaba," Chu says to Erivo in the video, causing her to burst into tears.
When Chu told Grande that she was going to be his Glinda, she covered her face, crying, and said, "Oh my gosh thank you. I love her so much, I'm going to take such good care of her, thank you so much!"
"I want people to see Wicked and experience it in a way they've never experienced before," Chu says. "I want them to feel what I felt going into that theater for the first time. I want to make them laugh, to make them sing, to make them feel that after they've watched it, they've been changed for good."
A new trailer for Wicked will be released tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15. Wicked: Part One is in theaters November 27.
