The first official trailer of The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 2 — one of Netflix's best and messiest dating shows — has finally dropped, and let's just say that this preview is delivering on the dramatic and chaotic storylines that fans were excited about.
Hosted by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, this second season of Ultimatum: Queer Love will be released in two batches of episodes: Episodes 1-6 are coming out on June 25, whereas episodes 7-10 will drop on July 2.
This season's cast is made up of women and nonbinary people who are navigating an "ultimatum" in their respective relationships. "One partner is ready for marriage, the other may have doubts," the official Ultimatum: Queer Love synopsis reads. "In just over eight weeks, each couple will either get married, or get out, after they each choose new potential partners in a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse of two different futures."
Audiences will be introduced to six new couples — 12 contestants total — who are making the choice between staying together or breaking up for good. On Wednesday, May 28, Netflix dropped the first full trailer for the upcoming season. By the looks of it, emotions will be intense!
The six couples competing in this second season of The Ultimatum: Queer Love are Ashley and Marita; AJ and Britney; Kyle and Bridget; Haley and Pilar; Dayna and Magan; and Mel and Marie.
Throughout the season, couples are put through a series of challenges that test their bonds. The couples enter the reality show together, but their first task is to do some speed dating and get matched into new pairings based on their chemistry.
The cast members are able to give their new relationships a trial run by living together for three weeks. They are subsequently brought back together with their original partners to go through another three-week "trial marriage."
The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 2 is set to premiere on June 25 on Netflix.
